Meaning of Creditor
A person to whom a debt is owing from another. Does not ordinarily include a person who has a contingent or future claim against the debtor. The term is correlative to debtor. there is a secondary meaning of the term which is one to whom money is owing but for whom the period of payment has not yet arrived.
