Meaning of Delusion
Absurd and unfounded belief having no foundation in reality, springing from a diseased or morbid condition of the mind. It originates spontaneously in the mind without evidence of any kind to support same. See Potter v Jones, 25 P. 769, 20 Or. 239.
Delusion Alternative Definition
In medical jurisprudence. A diseased state of the mind, in which persons believe things to exist which exist only, or in the degree they are conceived of only, in their own imaginations, with a persuasion so fixed and firm that neither evidence nor argument can convince them to the contrary.
