Meaning of Inferior Court
One whose jurisdiction is limited by statute; whose records must affirmatively show their authority to act in the particular case; courts of a limited and special jurisdiction, which are erected on such principles that their judgments, taken alone, are entirely disregarded, unless the proceedings show their jurisdiction. Also, the term is used in the broad sense of denoting every court which is subject to the reviewing power of another court.
